Fr. Timothy Freyer
Born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Huntington Beach. The only child of two only children, I attended public schools before entering St. John’s Seminary College in Camarillo, CA for my B.A. and then St. John’s Seminary for four years of graduate school. I was ordained for the Diocese of Orange on June 10, 1989 and my first assignment was as an associate pastor (parochial vicar) at St. Hedwig Church in Los Alamitos for five years. I then served at Our Lady of Fatima Church in San Clemente for five years and at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Laguna Beach for two years. In 2001, Bishop Brown appointed me Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Fullerton and then, in 2003, Pastor of St. Boniface.
Additionally, I serve at the diocesan level as a member of the Catechumenate Advisory Board, the Vocations Committee and am the chair of the Priests’ Personnel Board. In Anaheim, I am a police chaplain and a member of the board of directors of the Anaheim Family Justice Center.
I am grateful to God for the opportunity to serve as a priest as I find myself continually inspired by the people of God.
